EVENTS THAT MUST HAPPEN BETWEEN THE 69TH AND 70TH WEEK (THE CHURCH AGE)

Grace be to you all, and peace from God, our Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ. In continuation of the epistles on the 70 weeks of Daniel, we write to you today having the hope that these words will be implanted in you, and illuminate your hearts and minds with knowledge to enable you walk uprightly before our Lord.

There are certain events revealed from the Word of God that must come to pass between the 69 th and 70 th week of Daniel. Some of these events must take place in this dispensation of the church age. That is now. Some have come to pass and behold, others do follow shortly. In this church age, the following must take place so that God’s words may be true and every man that denies it a liar: -

The Messiah (our Lord Jesus Christ) is to be crucified at the end of the 69 th week. (Dan 9:26). This is already fulfilled. He died on 14 Nisan between 30 and 33 A.D. at the exact time Passover lambs were being slain in the Temple.

The Romans were to destroy Jerusalem and the temple between the time Christ is crucified and the 70 th week of Daniel (Dan 9:26-27). This was literally fulfilled in 70 A.D. as we have written to you before in times past. The Jewish authorities handed Christ over to the Romans to be crucified about 30 A.D., and Jerusalem and the Jewish temple were destroyed 40 years later (70 A.D.) as prophesied in Luke 21:6, Matt 24:2.

Israel was to be scattered among the nations of the earth by the Romans after the temple and Jerusalem are destroyed. This happened. They were to be carried away as a flood at the end of their defeat by the Romans (Dan 9:26-27, Luke 21:20-24). This has also been fulfilled, for Israel ceased from becoming a nation about 70-73 A.D. They were totally blotted out of the world map and the nation of Israel was no more; totally non-existent. They remained scattered amongst other nations of the earth for over 1,900 years until they became a nation again in 1948. So God’s words are always true. He promised to make them a whole nation again and He has done it.

Jerusalem must be restored as the capital of Israel (this was fulfilled in 1967) and the Jewish temple rebuilt so that temple worship can commence in Jerusalem as in the days of old. God will allow this happen so He can use it to chasten the Jews when He allows the Antichrist to defile the temple. Currently, there are intense plans to make this happen. The Sanhedrin has been reconstituted back in Israel in 2004 having been extinct for over 1900 years, and they are among other things currently working on locating a spotless Red Heifer whose ashes will be needed to purify the temple before worship can begin. This is required by the Torah (Law of Moses) in Num 19. One thing is sure; there will a third Jewish temple standing in Jerusalem, probably very close to the Al Aksa mosque on the temple mount. Probably this temple will have both the holy of holies (wherein is the golden altar of incense) and the inner court also called the holy place while the outer court will be tread upon by the Gentiles (this is where the Al Aksa mosque is currently located on the temple mount). There also will be some form of Judaism practiced in this temple so that God’s words are fulfilled (Rev 11:1-3). This must happen in the 70 th week which remains to be fulfilled. It will be fulfilled when Israel exists as a nation again in Jerusalem (Ezek 37) (these present times), for the 70 th week concern Israel and Jerusalem (Dan 9:24). For those that will read this book after the rapture, how can you know that the 70 th week of Daniel is at hand? It will be when the Jewish temple is been rebuilt in Jerusalem. When you see this come to pass, know that the time is at hand.

The Antichrist is referred to as the prince that shall come (Antichrist) from the old Roman Empire territory in Dan 9:27. He shall confirm a covenant with the Jews for 1 week (7 years). He does not come until after the formation of the future 10 kingdoms, the last world empire before the millennial reign of Christ, within the regions of the Mediterranean Sea, spanning the Middle East to some parts of Europe (Dan 7:2, 23-24), and until after the rapture of the church (2 Thess 2:7, Rev 4:1). Therefore, Daniel 70 th week must be after these two events. The 70 th week will be the last 7 years of this age. It will happen after the rapture of the church but before the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. It will occur in the future tribulation period ending with the second advent of Christ. All of Matt 24 25, Rev 4:1-19:21, Dan 7:19-27, 8:9-14, 22-25, 9:27, 11:36-45, 12:1-17, and many other passages in the Scriptures will be fulfilled during these 7 years. The Great tribulation will be during the last 31/2 years (Jer 30:4-9, Dan 12:1, Matt 24:15-24, Rev 11:1-19:21).

The present church age rightfully comes in between the 69 th and 70 th weeks, during which time Israel is rejected of God and scattered among the nations. There is a postponement of the fulfillment of the 70 th week immediately following the end of the 69 th week due to Israel’s rejection and her house being left desolate until God restores it again in the days of the second coming of Christ. For it is written in Psa 102:16 “when the Lord shall build up Zion, he shall appear in glory.” Zion here is literal Jerusalem, not the church! The second coming of the Lord is connected to the restoration of the city of Jerusalem. He cannot come until after Jerusalem as a city is in Jewish hands. Praise God! For Ariel has been restored back to Judah as it is today. Now, the city of David is in Jewish hands though there are still great contentions between the Jews and the Arabs over this city today. Behold, the Lord shall return in the heat of these contentions.

During the 70 th week, the Antichrist in 31/2 years gets power over the 10 kingdoms (Dan 7:23-24, Rev 17:8-17). He will make war with his neighboring countries and subdue them. He then breaks his covenant with Israel, enters and takes over the city, and makes the Jewish temple his capital building (Dan 7:21-25, 8:9-14, 22-25, 9:27, 11:36-45, Matt 24:15-24, 2 Thess 2:3-4, Rev 13:1-18, 17:8-17). At this time, he will do away with all Jewish sacrifices in the temple, throw down the altar, and set up his own image to be worshiped in the temple. This will continue 2,300 evenings and mornings, or 3 years, 2 months, and 10 days of the 1,260 days of the last 31/2 years of this age (Dan 8:9-14, 9:27, 11:45, Matt 24:15-22, Rev 13:1-18). The beast worship and the abomination of desolation will continue from the middle of the 70 th week through the judgments that will be poured out upon all men that dwell on the face of the whole earth in those days. These judgments will consist of the plagues caused by the two witnesses (Rev 11:3-11), the trumpet and vial judgments (Rev 6-14, 15, 16), and ending with the defeat and destruction of the Antichrist at Armageddon ( Rev 16:13-16, 19:11-21, Zech 14).

Brethren, keep these words in your hearts. None of the wicked shall understand these things but the wise shall understand. Know that if God has said it, He will bring it to pass. Now he has commanded us to tell all people to prepare and make haste, for His coming is at hand. It is even at the doors. To them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ our Lord.
