HEAVEN, OUR ETERNAL HOME

Our Lord has instructed us to testify to His children about HEAVEN, His dwelling place. This is the place He has also prepared for all His children that love Him, live by His Words, and do His commandments.

Concerning this letter, we write to you all as to spiritual people and not as unto carnal people. This we do, believing that you all understand spiritual things, not as unto babes in Christ. We also testify of the things our Lord Jesus Christ has revealed unto us by His Spirit in us. All we write concerning this subject is based on the Word of our Lord and we challenge the faith of you all to go prove by the Word of our Lord also that these things are so. For it is written “Prove all things and hold fast to that which is good” – 1 Thess. 5:21.

What is Heaven? Heaven is God’s dwelling place; the place of his habitation. This means “The place where God lives”. We write to you from Deut 26:15 and Isa. 66:1. We also know that our Lord Jesus came down from heaven and has returned to heaven where he came from, proving that He was indeed God coming in the likeness of sinful flesh to die in our place. We speak from John 6:41 & 46. The scriptures also proves this in that it declares “For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.” (Heb 9:24).

Where is Heaven physically located? In the northern part of the universe, in relationship to the earth. We prove this with Isa 14:12-14, Psa 75:6-7. It is situated in the highest part of all creation, so no man can physically see it even from outer space. We speak from Job 22:12; Luke 2:14; Eph 1:21. The shape of heaven is round like the earth as proved by Job and David from Job 22:14; Psa 19:6. Heaven is a material planet like the earth but created from different material substance than the earth. Apostle Paul clearly proves this in Rom 1:20. These material substances were created and brought into existence by the Word of God. We know God created the Heavens and the earth in the dateless past and since we can see the earth we live in, then we should know that heaven is as real as the earth is. Would you say because the air we all breathe in is invisible that there is no air? Surely no one can say that. Likewise, Heaven exists in the same manner as this.

Why was Heaven created? For habitation and maintaining life to glorify God and receive of his infinite blessings. Isaiah 45:18 declares “For thus says the LORD, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain, Who formed it to be inhabited: “ I am the LORD, and there is no other.””. The psalms of prophet David also testifies to this in Psa 8:3-8. John the Apostle testifies also in Rev 4:11. Therefore, we know that Heaven is inhabited like the earth.

What is in Heaven? Many things, even things that if man were told he WOULD NOT believe. Apostle Paul also narrated how a man (himself) was “caught up into Heaven and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.” 2 Corith12:4. Our Father Abraham confirmed that there are cities in Heaven. Apostle John also proves this in Rev 21:2, Rev 21:9-27. Even Apostle Paul testified of this in Heb 11:10-15. Brethren, there are many material things in Heaven like they are on the earth. The key difference is that heavenly things are made of different material substances which are EXTREMELY SUPERIOR to the ones you find in the earth. To ensure you understand this idea, let us cite an example. A chair on earth is made from wood or steel or some other material like fibers. If you see the same chair in Heaven, it will look extremely superior and could be made from wood BUT of a different kind. This type of wood, you will NEVER find on the earth. The things on earth can only be compared to the things in Heaven on the basis of TYPES and KINDS, but never QUALITY and SUBSTANCE. For heavenly things are made of different kinds of materials that never decay or wear away.

There are so many things in heaven that we see in the Word of our Lord, the bible, which are material things. There are physical things in heaven like Books, Tabernacles, Ark of Testament, Golden altar, Censer, Chariots, furniture, tables, floors, rainbows, fire, thrones, tongs, swords, sickles, keys, chains, trumpets, bowls, food, lightning, thunders, lamps, musical instrument, clothing, drink, fruits, fountains of water as in Rev 22:1, Hidden Manna as in Rev 2:17, Animals, trees, streets as in Rev 22:1-3, gate as in Rev 22:15, mountains as in Zech 6:1, Armies, Innumerable inhabitants etc. The Lord God himself declared in His Word that “as the host of heaven cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so will I multiply the descendants of David My servant and the Levites who minister to me.” (Jer 33:22).

So many people outside of the kingdom of our Lord do not believe in the reality of heaven. Our message is first not to these ones but unto the children of the light. Many Christians find it difficult to comprehend that there can be another place out of this world called heaven that can be as real as the earth we live in now. I implore you all if there be any among you that has these thoughts to believe TODAY that Heaven is real and FAR BETTER than the earth, that both cannot compare in splendor and substance. If you do not believe in the reality of heaven now, how can you ever want to go there? We testify of the things the Holy Spirit has revealed to us by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Indeed, if you all feel very comfortable living on this earth such that you never think of Heaven until you get to church on Sunday morning, then you are NOT YET ready for the coming of our Lord. How can you be looking forward to moving to a new house and yet you don’t think and meditate about it? Perhaps may be you don’t even know about it? Or you don’t bother to know by asking the Holy Spirit through fellowship in the Word of God? This is why men build so much treasure here on the earth and they pursue worldly things, wanting to continue to acquire and acquire so much! Have you not read in the scriptures in I Tim 6:6-10 that godliness with contentment is great gain, that having food and raiment that we should be content, that they that pursue riches fall into temptations and snares and into foolish and hurtful lusts, which DROWN MEN IN DESTRUCTION AND PERDITION? Or have you not read the scriptures that where your treasure is, there your heart will be also? Our Lord Jesus specifically warned us His children not to build treasures on this earth. Instead he commanded us to seek first His kingdom and his righteousness and every other thing will be added unto us.

Are we saying it is not good to be rich? Surely it is good to have abundance. But to pursue riches is what is wrong to do. When you pursue riches you CANNOT please our Lord because you would never have time to fellowship with him and know His Word and obey them. Many believers today are struggling with many afflictions from the enemy because they pursue worldly things and do not have time for our Lord and put Him first. They do not know the Word of our Lord, their only weapon, and they do not live by it. Many Christians never read the Word of our Lord and meditate on it; instead they pursue worldly things and spend all week working even late nights to make more money at the neglect of the Word of our Lord. Many who even know a little of the Word never have their hearts with the Lord. The Lord has already told us in His word that it is hard to enter the kingdom of heaven (Matt 19:24; Matt 7:13-14), but very few Christians believe this and understand its importance. The Lord is revealing this to us and has commanded us to warn all His children.

If that is you, you do not love the Lord enough and YOU MUST REPENT TODAY. For today is the day of salvation. You must create time everyday in your schedule to fellowship with the Lord in His Word. Even if you pray regularly without studying and meditating on the Word of our Lord, you will be praying amiss most of the times. See brethren, the Lord deals with us all through His Word. Why don’t you make a resolution today that from henceforth, you will study the Word of the Lord everyday of your life, even when you are so tired and exhausted from office work, even when you have so much to do when you get home? Make a decision today that you will live by the Word of our Lord that you have studied today, that you will put the Lord FIRST in every area of your life, even before your children, husbands, wives, and family. That you will strive to please Him in all things till the day our Lord returns to take us home. If anyone of you has made such a resolution today, our Lord SURELY will give you the grace to do all that you have desired, for this is the greatest desire of all. Receive the Power of the Holy Spirit to do the will of God in Jesus name, Amen.
