ISRAEL & JERUSALEM

TIMES OF THE GENTILES

ISRAEL & JERUSALEM:
THEIR REGATHERING IN THE LAST DAYS

It is written in Hosea 3:4-5 “ For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim: 5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days. It is also written in Isa 11:11-12 “ 11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. 12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth ”.

The prophecy in the last scripture above is that the Lord will gather Israelagain a second time and bring them into their own land. The use of the words again and a second time indicates that a previous gathering had occurred in the past. When was this first gathering? From the previous epistles that we wrote to you all according to the word of the Lord concerning the 70 weeks of Daniel, we understand that the previous gathering of Israel into their own land the first time occurred when the Lord made them return from the Babylonian captivity after they had accomplished 70 years according to the word of the Lord by Jeremiah the prophet (Jer 29:10). This was the first gathering of Israel from among the nationsafter the first captivity as written in the books of Ezra, Nehemiah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi. Though all the Jews never came back to Jerusalem after the Babylonian captivity was over, for some of them were dispersed into other nations (John 7:35), still they kept coming back in great numbers until they were a great nation again in the days of the birth of Christ. In Matt 24-25, Mark 13, and Luke 21, Our Lord Jesus Christ prophesied of Israel’s defeat and conquest by the Romans, and the complete destruction of their city and temple again just as it was in the days of Nebuchadnezzar, over 600 years before during the Babylonian captivity. He prophesied the captivity of Israel among all nations again, a second time, declaring their house would be left desolate until the latter days (Matt 23:37-39). So then, this is the second captivity of Israel. It is of this second captivity that the word of the Lord in Isa 11:11 quoted above refers. Therefore, we know and understand that the second gathering of Israel cannot be fulfilled until the first gathering from Babylon and other nations had been accomplished, and their second dispersion had come to pass, which was in 70 A.D. when the Romans took them captive among all nations, fulfilling Luke 21:20-24.

Now, what a joy to know that Israel became a nation again in May 1948 since their second captivity by the Romans in the year 70 A.D. Though Jerusalem was not her capital during the 1948 return, for it was partially in the hands of the Gentiles (the country of Jordan), as we have written to you in recent past, Israel regained the whole of Jerusalem back as her capital in 1967 and it has remained so unto this day as we speak. This regathering of Israel in 1948 and the establishment of Jerusalem as her capital in 1967 is of extreme importance In God’s prophetic plan for the earth in these last days. In Hosea 3:4-5 as quoted in the beginning of this epistle, the Lord promised that Israel shall return to their own land and they shall seek the Lord their God, and David their king. Now, Israel has indeed returned to their land and many Jews are still returning to Israel from all over the world as we speak, but the whole nation is not yet seeking God (some are seeking, but not all) as the scripture has said. This they will do at Christ’s second coming when he will rule over the nation forever (Isa 9:6-7, 11:1-12:5). But before they eventually seek God and become His people forever, he promised to first gather them back from all nations into their own land. This is what is happening today. Like in the time of their return from the Babylonian captivity, not all Jews returned from the Roman captivity. That is why we still have many Jews living in different countries all over the world today. Jews are in America, Europe, Asia, and many nations as we speak. But in the days that Christ comes to reign in Jerusalem over all nations at His second coming with His saints, He will gather all the tribes of Israel from all parts of the earth to Jerusalem. There shall not be a Jew living in other countries anymore. All Jews in the whole earth will return and live in Jerusalem and serve God forever. Is this not also written in Isa 14:1, 27:12, 43:5, 60:9, 66:20, Jer 30:10, 31:8, 32:37, 33:7, 46:27, 50:4, Ezek 16:53, 20:33-41, 34:11, 36:24, 37:11-19, 39:25, Hos 2:14, 3:5, Amos 9:9-15, Micah 4:6, 7:11, Zech 2:6, 8:1-8, 10:6, 9, Mal 3:18, Matt 24:31. Are these words strange to your hearing? Receive the light through the following scriptures, for that which God has determined and purposed shall be.

It is written in Isa 14:1 “ For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land ”. It is written in Isa 27:12 “ye shall be gathered one by one; O ye children of Israel….and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem”. It is written in Jer 16:14-16, 23:5-8 “Therefore, behold, the days come…the LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel …from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers ”. It is written in Jer 24:5-7 “… Judah…I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them. And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart”. It is written in Ezek 11:17-20, 16:60-63 “I will even gather you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel…And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you…and will give them an heart of flesh…and they shall be my people, and I will be their God”. It is written in Ezek 38-39 “ In the latter years…in the latter days, I will bring you (Antichrist) against my Land of Israel…I will set my glory among the heathen…So that the house of Israel shall know that I am Jehovah from that day and forward”. It is written in Amos 9:9-15 “I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve…In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen (3 rd Jewish temple that shall stand soon)…I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old…And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them…And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled upout of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God”. Apostle James, the half brother of our Lord Jesus Christ, declared that this prophecy of Amos would be fulfilled after the church age and said that all the prophets agreed with this (Acts 15:13-18). It is also written in Oba 1:17 “ But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions ”. Apostle Paul taught that this deliverance upon mount Zion would be at the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, when the fullness of the Gentiles have come, and at that time all Israel shall be saved . Even when God gave Moses the Torah (The Law), He saw that in the future Israel would not obey it. He prophesied then that they would be scattered among the nations and be gathered again in the last days to serve Messiah in the land. Are these things not also written in Lev 26:16-45, Deut 4:25-31, 28:36-38, 29:24-28, 30:1-10, 13-20, 31:16-21, 29, 32:26-44?

Why is Israel and Jerusalem so important ? It is because Jerusalem in Israel is God’s prophetic clock. God has laid out all His plans concerning Jerusalem and Israel unto the day of the Second Coming of the Messiah and His saints. By understanding the words of the Lord concerning Jerusalem and the time of their fulfillment, you will understand the present and future times and seasons as God unfolds them. As we can see the pattern from the scriptures, during the times that God brings all His major prophetic word to pass, most of His people are always asleep, so that they are unable to discern the times and the seasons. This is why God sends men to His people early in the morning to make them walk uprightly before Him lest they also partake of the evil He has purposed upon the wicked. Even when our Lord Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem, who was to be the only hope for all men before God, whom the Jews have waited for all their life, still none of the Pharisees and Sadducees recognized the season, yet they were the religious leaders of the people of God. God had to bring wise men (religious astrologers) from the Far East to make known to the people that a King has been born. Is it not also written that the things that has been are the things that shall be? That there is no new thing under heaven?

Now, our Lord Jesus Christ is coming again, and he has commanded us to tell all people concerning His coming and warn them to flee from the wrath to come, for it shall devour the whole earth and none shall escape. Alas! The sun is darkened and the moon is like blood. All the nations have drunk from the wine of the wrath of God which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation! Yea! The nations have drunk and are mad. For surely, the Lord hath sent a sword amongst all the inhabitants of the earth. This is that which is purposed concerning the whole earth and who is able to prevent it?

Brethren, the coming of the Lord is at the doors. Prepare everyday for the day is here. The Lord cometh to take His own from the earth so He can judge the earth for her sins and the time is at hand. Let everyone that nameth the name of the Lord depart from iniquity. Forsake your sins, and all your idle babblings, jestings, and jokes, and all uncleanness which increase unto more ungodliness. Live holy before the Lord and do all His words and commandments. Live and walk by them always. Brethren, the day is almost spent and night is coming when no man work. Dwell in the light while it is still day that the darkness of the night does not come upon you. Again, we say unto you, the coming of the Lord is at the doors. Whosoever that shall deny this message of the Lord’s coming, and say unto the people “the Lord tarries, let us live and merry” the same the Lord shall judge. He shall be counted with the wicked and cut off from the land of the living, because he has taught rebellion against the Lord. Now, what we say unto you, we say unto all. Prepare. The coming of the Lord is at hand. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
