TIMES OF THE GENTILES

THE TIMES OF THE GENTILES UPON JERUSALEM

Grace and peace be unto you all. It is written in Luke 21:20-24 “ And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. 21 Then let them which are in Judea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. 22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. 24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. 25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;”

Our Lord Jesus Christ was in Herod’s temple when He uttered this prophecy concerning Jerusalem. He was standing, watching the people cast money into the treasury (Luke 21:1-4) when some people spoke about the temple and its beauty. Our Lord Jesus Christ then prophesied that Jerusalem will be made desolate by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. Now, the question is: Are the times of the Gentiles now fulfilled so that the city of Jerusalem is no more trodden under foot? Or rather say what is the counsel of the Lord concerning the length of the times of the Gentiles?

Ariel, the city of David, which is literal Jerusalem in Israel, is in Jewish hands today after the Jews have been estranged from the land for over 1,900 years. The Jews reclaimed the whole of Jerusalem as her capital in the 6-day war of June 1967. But for how long shall Jerusalem remain the undivided capital of Israel? According to the word of the Lord, Jerusalem shall remain the undivided capital of Israel until the middle of Daniel’s 70 th week when the Antichrist comes against it to take it. At that time, he will break his 7-year peace covenant with Israel and enter Palestine. He will take over Jerusalem and the future Jewish Temple as his capital building and start the beast worship (Dan 9:27, 11:4-45, 12:7, Matt 24:15-21, 2 Thess 2:1-12, Rev 13, 14:9-11, 15:2-4, 20:4-6). Jerusalem will then be in Gentile hands for 42 months and will finally be liberated at the second coming of Christ (Rev 11:1-3, 12:6, 14, 13:5, 19:11-21, Zech 14:2, 2 Thess 2:8-12). Zephaniah the prophet clearly declared that the Lord Himself will turn again the captivity of Zion at His second coming and will make the Jewish people a name and praise amongst all the nations of the earth at that time. Are these things not written in Zeph 3:18-20 and Psa 126:1? The fullness of the times of the Gentiles will come in at that time. Then, the city of David shall no more be trodden down by the Gentiles from that time and forward, even for ever and ever. Rev 17:8-17 proves that there will be 8 great world Empires that would oppress Israel in the times of the Gentiles. These are Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, Revised Rome (10 king-confederacy), and Revived Greece (10 kings, but under the Antichrist).

What exactly does the times of the Gentiles mean? We will say these times simply mean that period in Israel’s history as a nation in Egypt to the second coming of Christ when she has been oppressed by the Gentiles. For Jerusalem, it will be the times during which she has been under Gentile control. It is the times God uses the Gentiles as a rod of chastening upon Israel to bring them to repentance. The Antichrist’s siege against the city will be the last end of these times. Therefore the fullness of the Gentiles will come in at the return of the Messiah in glory with His Saints amongst who we are, when He will deliver Israel from the Gentiles and exalt them as the head of all nations in the Millennium and forever (Luke 21:24, Rom 11:25, Rev 19:11-20:10).

As children of light having understanding of the times and seasons, we MUST know the seasons of Jerusalem. For even our Lord declared that Jerusalem did not know the time of her visitation and so her land is left unto her desolate and she shall see Him no more until she shall say blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. Are these things not written in Luke 19:41-44 and Matt 23:37-39? So then, what is the current season of Jerusalem? The current season of Jerusalem is the short period when Israel is supposed to be in control of the city until the middle of the 70 th week of Daniel when the Antichrist breaks his 7-year peace covenant with them in the future (Dan 9:27, Rev 11:1-2). Again, the scriptures teach clearly that Christ will deliver the Jews from the Gentiles at His second advent (Zech 14:1-21, Luke 21:24, Rom 11:25-26, Dan 2:44-45, 7:13-14, 18, 27, 8:20-25, Rev 11:1-2, 15, 19:11-21). Because Jerusalem will be trodden down of the Gentiles during the last 42 months of this age, it is most certain that the times of the Gentiles upon Jerusalem are not yet fully fulfilled. It is written in Rev 11:8 that the city of Jerusalem shall be as Sodom and Egypt during the last 42 months of this age when the Antichrist siege against it. By this, we understand that sin and iniquity shall abound in the city and many shall not seek the Lord in those days.

In Rom 11:25-30 Apostle Paul unveiled the mystery that all Jews will be completely restored to God at the Messiah’s second coming. It is extremely important to understand this truth. Though many Jews all over the world are getting saved and believing in Jesus Christ as their Messiah, most Jews will not believe. By this, many of them shall be slain during the future Great Tribulation for this is the trial that God has set before them because of unbelief. According to the word of the Lord in Zech 13:8, 2/3 of all men in Israel shall die by the sword in those days and 1/3 shall be spared. The revealed mystery by Apostle Paul here is of the blindness of Israel until Christ comes when she ( Israel) will be restored (Rom 11:25-29, Isa 66:7-8, Zech 12:10-13:1, 14:1-21). He (Apostle Paul) taught that the fullness of the Gentiles will end at Christ’s Second advent when ALL Israel shall be saved and converted to God. It is at that time that God will gather all Jews from the whole earth to Jerusalem (Isa 11:1-12, 66:19-21, Matt 24:31). He also taught that though most of the Jews are enemies of the gospel, yet they are beloved for the Father’s sake. They have been chosen by God to fulfill His plan for the earth and they will yet do so. The calling of God upon the Jews still holds, but they MUST first come to repentance and fulfill righteousness before being blessed. This, they will do in the latter end.

So then, the times of the Gentiles upon Jerusalem are not yet fully fulfilled, for it shall be at Christ’s second coming. The times of the Gentiles cannot end until the end of the 42 months reign of the Antichrist in Jerusalem. The city of JerusalemSHALL be given back into the hands of the Gentiles for 42 months in the days to come. The Jews will be defeated by the Antichrist so he can take over the city for 42 months. The Jews will become victorious over the Antichrist through Christ and His armies at the end of the 42 months and will then have control of Jerusalem FOREVER. As it written, so shall it be.

Now, let all men hearken to these words and know that if God has said it, He will also bring it to pass. He has revealed all these things to us all that we may remain in Him unto the end, knowing that the day of Christ is already here. We beseech you all to remain holy and pure in all things. Stay away from sin and unrighteousness. Flee from them. And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you sharing with you the counsel of the Lord to obey His commandments. To the end He may establish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord cometh shortly. Prepare, Watch, and Be Ready. Grace be unto you all. Amen .
