HELL - A PLACE OF GREAT TORMENT

Grace be to you all, and peace, from God our Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ. Today, we write to you from the scriptures and by the Spirit of God in us, the Holy Spirit, concerning one of the five distinct prisons in the underworld of departed spirits, a place called HELL. It has been declared by God, our Father Himself, that “my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” This is knowledge of the Word of God, which is the light we are to use to discern things, both in the natural and also in the spiritual. Fear not as children of light, for our Lord Jesus Christ NOW HAS THE KEYS of death and hell, for He conquered them both (Rev. 1:18) and He has given us the authority to make these things known to His church that all His children may remain steadfast and HOLY while awaiting His coming and abstain from ALL appearances of evil.

What is Hell? There are five departments of Sheol-Hades also known as prisons in the underworld, mentioned in the scriptures. Hell is one of them. It is the torment compartment of sheol-hades where wicked souls go immediately after physical death. They will continue to go there until the end of the millennial reign of Christ on earth with the saints. Then, all the wicked souls in Hell will be brought out to be united with their resurrected and immortal bodies and cast into the Lake of Fire where they’ll be forever, even for ever and ever. All men that go to Hell are kept in a conscious state, very much alive like they were while on the earth. Please read Luke 16:19-31, Rev 20:11-15.

Why was Hell created? God is the one who made Hell originally for the devil and his angels and thereafter for all men who follow Satan; He is the one who sends to Hell and confines rebels there till they are cast into the Lake of Fire for all eternity (I Sam 2:6, Deut 32:22, Psa 9:17, Isa 14:9, 66:22-24, Matt 25:41, 46)

Where is Hell located? It is located in the nether parts of the earth (Ezek 31:14-18, 32:24), the lower parts of the earth (Psa 63:9, 68:18, Eph 4:8-10), below the depth of the seas and below the foundations of the mountains (Jonah 2:2-6), beneath like a deep pit (Prov 15:24, Isa 14:9-16, Ezek 31:14-18), and is too deep to dig into (Job 11:8, Amos 9:2). It is a place as physical as the earth and Heaven itself.

When do Men go to Hell? Immediately after physical death, in a moment and very quickly (Num 16:30-33, Job 21:13, Psa 55:15, Luke 16:19-31). How do men enter into Hell? After physical death, do they just suddenly see some fire somewhere and just walk into it by themselves? Surely not! No man will see fire and walk into it by himself. Men are cast into Hell by God probably through His angels that overpower them (Ezek 31:15-17). Men are forced into Hell and humbled (Isa 5:14-15). When is Hell going to get filled up so that there is no more space? Never! It is never full or satisfied (Prov 27:20, 30:16, Hab 2:5). It is a place that receives men in numbers like flocks of sheep (Psa 49:14). Why can’t men escape from Hell and run away somewhere? Because of its SECURED gates and bars (Job 17:16, Isa 38:10, Matt 16:18, Rev 1:18).

What is Hell like? What do the scriptures say about it? It is a place of activity, a place of great and unimaginable wrath (Deut 32:22; Luke 16:19-31). It’s a place of great sorrow where repentance can no longer help and in fact meaningless ( Gen 42:38, 44:29, 31; 2 Sam 22:6, Psa 18:5, 55:15, 116:3, Prov 7:27) It is a place of FIRE, a place hidden from man, but naked before God so He sees everyone in it (Job 26:6, Prov 15:11, Psa 139:8, Amos 9:2). It’s a place of full consciousness (Isa 14:9-15, Ezek 32:27-31, Luke 16:19-31). It’s a place for the soul and spirit, not the body which remains in the grave at physical death. It is a place of conversations so that someone in Hell can recognize another, proving full consciousness (Isa 14:9-16, Ezek 32:21, Luke 16:19-31). It’s a place where many rich men, governors, presidents, and kings live after physical death (Isa 14:9-11). It is a place where its inhabitants are stirred up at the coming of others so that the place become tighter and tighter with more arrivals of souls (Ezek 32:27-32, Isa 14:9-11). It is a place where GREAT MEN acknowledge their defeat. In Hell, men recognize and converse with one another (Isa 14:16, Luke 16:9-31) and full knowledge and memory exists (Isa 14:10, 16, Luke 16:19-31). This means that if a man knows that “2+2 =4” while he was on earth, if he dies in sin and goes to Hell, he still knows the answer to same question. It is a place for the proud, a place of great regret over mistreatment of others. It is a place where men are conscious of life on earth, but cannot visit earth to warn other men like them that hell is real and a place of real torments. It’s a place where the lost become conscious of the need of soul-winning, a place where men would have believed if given a second chance, though too late. It’s a place SO TERRIBLE that those who are in it plead for some means of warning others not to come there (Luke 16:26-31). A place where souls are burned up by the fire, yet unconsumed (I Peter 3:4). A place of great pains. The greater number of men goes into it at death (Deut 32:22, Psa 9:17, Isa 5:14, Luke 16:19-31). The fire in it is as literal as the mountains we see on earth. The fire is kindled in God’s wrath so it scorches again and again. Entrance into it is DOWN, deeper than the grave, through the earth to its center (Num 16:30-33, Matt 12:40, Eph 4:8-10) and men go ALIVE into it. Who escapes Hell? Only THOSE WHO LIVE BY AND WALK ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD ESCAPES THE TORMENTS OF HELL AND GO TO HEAVEN. Believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and savior alone by itself does not save men from hell.

So brethren, this is another reminder and warning from our Lord Jesus Christ, to us all as children of light to live and walk uprightly before Him in Holiness and FULL OBEDIENCE to His Word. That is the only way of escape from Hell. If there be any of you that still bear fruits from works of the flesh, we beseech you to repent today, this moment, because tomorrow may be too late. Our Lord is warning you all to be obedient children, putting the Word of our Lord first in all that you do and seeking daily the grace to do them.

Do you still backbite in the office and gossip? Do you have strife in your hearts against someone who offended you? Do you still look at women or men to lust after them? Are you engaged in any form of sexual perversion whether in or out of marriage? Do you still partake of anything that produces lewd emotions, anything tending to foster sex, sin and lusts, like dressing to intentionally show your cleavage or expose your features to lure men or walking and intentionally shaking your back parts? Do you worship your job that it comes first before anything else in your life? Or may be it is your family you worship? Do you foster quarrellings and strife? Do you have great envies and jealousies? Uncurbed rivalry spirit in religion, business, society or other fields of endeavor so that you strive to excel at the expense of others? Do you still engage in determined and lasting anger that nothing or no one can pacify you? Do you get very jealous at the good fortune or blessings of another? Do you live intoxicated and get drunk sometimes or all the time? Do you still engage in lascivious and boisterous feastings, with obscene music and other sinful pleasures? If there be any of you that still do any of these things, you have the works of the flesh in you (Gal 5: 19-21) and as a result, YOU CANNOT MAKE HEAVEN, WHETHER AT THE RAPTURE OF THE SAINTS OR AT PHYSICAL DEATH. In fact if you die with any of these things in you, YOU GO TO HELL OR THE VALLEYS. If our Lord comes today and meet these things in you, you will remain on the earth to go through the Great Tribulation. Still many believers have one or more of these works of the devil in them. Please repent today and ask for forgiveness. Depart from your evil ways and ask the Holy Spirit to help you to obey the Word of our Lord. Have you read the scriptures today? If you indeed have the Spirit of God in you, why don’t you start asking yourself this question everyday “what has the Lord talked to me about today from His Word’? And “where are my still lacking Lord”? “Show me and help me Lord Jesus that I may be blameless and holy at your coming and partake of the eternal pleasures in your kingdom FOREVER”.

We pray for you all that God, our Father of glory will preserve your spirit, soul, and body blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is even at the doors. May the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
