HELL - A PLACE OF GREAT TORMENT

JUDGEMENT OF BELIEVER'S WORKS

Grace be to you all, and peace, from God our Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ. We write to you this week concerning what shall happen to our labor and works in the Lord. We write to you from the scriptures and by the Spirit of God in us, the Holy Spirit, that He himself through us might make this message plain upon the table that all the children of the kingdom might understand and serve our Lord faithfully while we await His coming which is even at the doors.

See brethren, the scriptures declare “for we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad (2 Corinth 5:10). Apostle Paul again declared in 1 Corinth 3:11-15 “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.”

Who partakes of this judgment? This Judgment as mentioned in the scriptures above is only for TRUE BELIEVERS in Jesus Christ (Eph 6:8, Col 3:24, Rom 14), the ones that shall be accounted HOLY and BLESSED and have a part in the resurrection of the just (Rev 20:6). These have no sin in them at the coming of the Lord hence the Lord calls them HOLY. These surely EXCLUDE disobedient Christians and sinful Christians. These are believers that still have the works of the flesh which genders unto sin, in them. They will NOT inherit the kingdom of God even after professing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (Matt 7:21-23, Gal 5:19-21, Heb 12:14). When is this judgment going to happen? It will LITERALLY happen immediately after the rapture. Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself declared this in Luke 14:14. The place for this judgment is Heaven. The basis for this judgment is WORKS OF BELIEVERS, both good and bad. Good works remain after being tried by fire and a reward is given; bad works are completely burnt up in the fire and no reward is given. Eph 2:10 declares “for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” and Titus 2:14 declares we should be zealous for good works. This judgment is only unto true rewards but never the loss of one’s soul for any wrong-doings properly confessed and forgiven, for this judgment deals with the believer as a servant. Believers will be judged concerning doctrines (Rom 2:14-16, Rom 14), conduct to others (Matt 18, Rom 14), and many other behavioral traits demonstrated during service.

Therefore brethren, knowing this, we ought to do all things only UNTO OUR LORD and not unto any man. Col 3:17, 23-24 states “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”, “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.”

Whatever we do as children of the kingdom, we should do unto the Lord, not with eye service, as men pleasers but in sincerity of heart, fearing God and our Lord Jesus Christ. Our Lord Jesus said we should lay up treasures for ourselves in heaven where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal (Matt 6:20). Our Lord Jesus Christ compares the rewards for our works to treasures. Even Apostle Paul taught in 1Cor 9:22-27 that we should all run this race to obtain the rewards because these rewards are TRUE treasures, so great that if we could actually see them today, we would serve our Lord so faithfully so as to covet them. We cannot write to you in this letter concerning the details of these rewards but we trust our Lord Jesus Christ that he will make this known to you all earnestly in the days to come.

Why are you doing what you do today? Why are you a worker in your church? Why do you give alms to the poor? Why do you go the extra mile for some friends and no mile for others? Do you do these things to receive praise of men? Do you do good to men in great position of authority so they can help you in the future while you treat others shabbily? If there be any of you that do all these things not as unto the Lord, you must repent today, for today is the day of salvation. Pray for forgiveness today so that all your works do not get burnt on the Day of Judgment. All the office work we do in this world does not count at all in eternity. All the more money you make by working late hours and all the positions you seek tenaciously while compromising your faith is vanity in eternity except you labor faithfully in our Lord, doing His will daily as stated in His Word. Did you study the Word of God today? How come you say you love the Lord?

Therefore brethren, we challenge you all to labor daily for our Lord so you may obtain an incorruptible reward. Sacrifice for our Lord. Do not compromise the Word of our Lord in any situation you find yourself. When you see men profane and corrupt the gospel of peace which we have all received, speak out. Stand for our Lord today. Do only what you are sent to do by our Lord. Not your own fleshly desires. Live for our Lord today in every thing and fill yourselves with the knowledge of the Word of our Lord by His Spirit in you. Be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of our Lord, for as much as you know that your labor is not in vain in our Lord.

May the Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
